Women at Work: Continuing the Conversation

W

Confession… We are nerds! It is completely normal for a quick phone call to turn into a deep dive into any number of biblical, theological, or social issues. These conversations often meander across relevant books, articles, sermons, and personal perspectives about life and the Bible. Until this recent series of articles, our conversations stayed between us. In this particular instance, however...

Women at Work: You’re Good, Bruh

W

There was a popular video and meme trend that circulated the internet within the last few years. In these videos and memes, mothers lamented the seemingly inevitable and less-than-desirable evolution in the names by which their children addressed them. These women state some version of the following: “No one prepares you for the transition from ‘Mama’ to ‘Mommy’ to ‘Mom’ and then to ‘Bruh.” At...

Women at Work: Something to Say

With that evidence in mind, we now turn our attention to passages that, at...

Women at Work: Three Leading Ladies

W

Acts 2 is one of the most exciting chapters in the New Testament. It presents the story of the day of Pentecost, the day when the Holy Spirit breathed life into the corporate body of Christ. This was the moment the church was born. The Apostle Peter, empowered by the Holy Spirit, stepped up to present the inaugural sermon explaining this earth-shaking event. After explaining that they weren’t...

Women at Work: The Example of Jesus

W

These next few articles may have a different feel and flavor as I (Jeremy) experiment with co-writing with my long-time friend and colleague, Lee Boso. Lee and I have many years of ministry experience (close to 50 between us) which has led us into many rich, practical, and theological conversations. Due to recent events, our discussions have turned to the topic of what the Bible teaches about...
